Probate, Trust, and Guardianship
Emily bring to the firm extensive knowledge and numerous years of experience creating/amending wills, probating small and large estates, effectively handling adult guardianships, and power of attorney.
Whether your loved one died with or without a will, or the matter is contested or uncontested – Emily will handle your case in a knowledgeable, compassionate, efficient and economic manner. Her desire is to assist individuals and families in navigating the sometimes complex Texas probate process.
In addition, Emily has vast knowledge of the adult guardianship process, such as obtaining guardianship of the person and/or estate over a loved one, preparing annual accounts and reports for an existing guardianship, or evaluating your case for possible alternatives to guardianship.
Prior to private practice, Emily was the managing attorney of a law school legal aid clinic and taught a clinical course in probate for second and third year law students. Emily is currently an active board member of one of the nation’s largest self-directed IRA companies.
